Teruk Caonabo

A League of Merchants Ship Captain, Caonabo can be charming and intellectual, fitting in with the upper crust of Imperial Society. He can also be harsh, brutal and cold blooded. With ruddy skin, dark brown hair and eyes, Teruk Caonabo is boyishly handsome - ironic considering his reputation for cruelty. Standing at 200cm and slender (he masses only 95 kilos) Caonabo nonetheless impressive in his black and silver captain's uniform.

Caonabo was a captain in the Kashmere Star Fleet, but when his new assignment - the experimental ship Prometheus - met with misfortune during flight tests, he became disenchanted with the service. Nakira T'sraang (League of Merchants Councilwoman), having heard of this talented captain, offered him an alternative. He eagerly accepted a position in the League.

In the League he commands the Jezirius, an advanced Imperial frigate recently stolen by the League of Merchants and refitted at their secret base, Starhaven. His crew is fiercely loyal to him, bound by his personal charisma. He has his eye on a seat on the LeagueCouncil, and intends to have one even if he has to dispose of one of the current members to get it. Caonabo and his crew theoretically serve the council as a whole, though it is generally accepted that for all intents and purposes he is Nakira's "boy". His somewhat depraved recreational preferences are also well known in inner League circles, but since many of these corrupt crime lords have unspeakable vices of their own, his tendencies are judiciously overlooked.
